The directory is designed to provide a convenient and comprehensive listing of the elected and appointed ofcials in Maryland's 23 counties and Baltimore City. Municipal corporations and their highest-ranking ofcials are listed in each county section. An alphabetical index of those listed in the directory can be found at the back of the directory. The directory's legislative section contains state of Maryland government listings and the Maryland congressional delegation information. Listings include the Ofce of the Governor, State departments and agencies, the Maryland judiciary, regional agencies, and the Maryland General Assembly. MACo is indebted to the many county and state ofcials and their staf members who provided the necessary information for this edition. The Maryland Manual On-Line, produced by the Maryland Archives, was an excellent resource for the county seals and their origin histories. It can be found at www.mdarchives.state.md.us. The MACo Budgets, Tax Rates, & Selected Statistics Fiscal Year 2015 publication was the source of county population fgures.
