Directory of County Officials • 2017/2018 | 9 President's Message As president of the Maryland Association of Counties this year, it is my pleasure to present the 2017-2018 Directory of County Officials. This publication provides names and contact information of those serving in public office since January 2017. MACo has provided this directory in evolving formats since 1961. The first edition was a simple listing of member counties, elected officials, and their phone numbers and addresses. This 30th edition contains website and email addresses, additions that could not have been imagined in 1961. With the ever-changing influence of technology in our lives, it is important to remember that the people found in all 30 editions of the directory are and have been Maryland's committed public servants. And even though their names and faces have changed, they have been in the past — and are today — working hard to bring the best government to our cities, counties and state. This edition also contains advertising from many Maryland counties, corporations and companies. It means a great deal to the officers and Board of Directors to have their participation and support for this directory and the many other functions sponsored throughout the year. Once again, the 2017-2018 Directory of County Officials will also be available online. The search feature will make navigating the directory quick and easy.
